Congratulations and welcome to Diabetic Watchers!

Choosing this program is one of the first steps in making a commitment to change your life for the rest of your life. I would like to first introduce myself. My name is Messia Releford and I serve as the Program Coordinator/Case Manager for the Diabetic Watchers Program. Though it is a national program, the NBC Community Development Corporation, along with the Wyandotte County Community Health Council have partnered to offer this educational opportunity to those in the Greater Kansas City Metropolitan area. In 2013, I was diagnosed as Pre-Diabetic and prescribed Metformin to help regulate my insulin levels. Through lifestyle changes, I was able to reverse that diagnoses and currently work daily to maintain my status. I look forward to working closely, as a group, to not only inform but INSPIRE each of you to be the best version of yourself.
